Story
We normally spend our shared birthday, the 26th April, together, but this year we can't because of Coronavirus (Boooooo!), which makes us very sad. So we're taking part in the 2.6 Challenge together by cycling (Yas) and walking (Liz) 2.6 miles – apart but together on FaceTime on the Sunday, which is 2.6 Challenge Day and also our ACTUAL BIRTHDAY!! It's our first birthday without Grampy, which also makes us very sad, so we want to raise as much money as we can for Dorothy House Hospice, who were so amazingly supportive to all the family when he was very ill. We miss him so much and want to help other families at a similarly difficult time in their lives. Because of Covid-19, Dorothy House Hospice have had to close all their shops, which were their main source of funds, so we want to help them as much as we can. Like and subscribe (DONATE!!!) and thank you so much!
Every day Dorothy House provides palliative and end of life care to anyone who needs it, when they need it most. When someone in our community reaches the end of life, we have one chance to come together to support them with the best care we can provide. The majority of care is delivered in the home and community and covers an area of 700sq miles. All services are free of charge. This critical work becomes even more important at a time like this. There are now more patients to look after and we must make sure each one receives the highest quality care and compassionate support.
