We provide children's hospice care to children and families across Sussex

Story

I am fundraising for Chestnut Tree House in memory of my friend Issy, as they provided care and support for her and her family. There isn't a better time to do it than during a pandemic. Although my options are limited, I decided to attempt to walk 10,000 steps a day, which is a lot for someone like me who doesn't exercise!

I have set up an Instagram account for those who would like updates. I will be posting my photos from the walk and the step total each day!

Here's a bit of information about the charity.

Chestnut Tree House is a children’s charity providing hospice care and community support for children and young people with life-shortening conditions. There are hundreds of children and young people in your local community who are unlikely to reach adulthood. And even more parents and family members who need care, help and support on their journey, as they do not know how long they will have together. Your help enables families to spend time together. Precious moments that give a lifetime of memories.

About the charity

Chestnut Tree House is the children’s hospice for East Sussex, West Sussex, Brighton and Hove and South East Hampshire, caring for 300 children and young adults from 0-19 years of age every year, both at the hospice and in families’ own homes.
