Story
As many of you will know, back in February 2020 I suffered a horrific accident which left me in critical care at the UHNM following sustaining a severe traumatic brain injury, from which my parents were told I had no hope in surviving.
Thanks to the rapid response of Midlands Air Ambulance, arriving at the scene in approximately just 17 minutes, I was able to be stabilised at the scene. I was provided with vital medication and treatment within the 'golden hour' which played a major part in my survival. This enabled me to arrive at the hospital in good time to receive the intensive medical care I required, including being put into and induced coma and multiple life-saving operations.
I will always be eternally grateful for the charity coming to me on that day. You never know when you will need their services, and having this experience myself has made me realise how important it is to support the charity, given they receive no funding from the government and rely solely on donations and generosity.
I will be cycling/walking/running a total of 121 miles during April. I will document how I am progressing on my page and aim to hit 121 miles in as short a time as possible. Any donations will be greatly appreciated, helping to fund missions and save the lives of others like myself.
