My name is Yasmin and I’m a member of Tigray Youth Network. 

As the 2 year mark of the Tigray Genocide approaches I am partaking in the ‘24 hour Walk For Tigray’ as well as a hunger strike. The war on Tigray is one of the worst catastrophic humanitarian crisis in the world. Over 7 million Tigrayans are living under siege with no access to basic necessities such as food, water, medicine and even access to the money in their banks. Tigrayans are living in total darkness, a complete blackout. Telecommunications have been cut for 2 years, normal phone calls with our families back in Tigray is something we would die for. The voices of our loved ones have become nothing but a distant memory. In the midst of all this starvation is slowly killing the population, with over 5 million living in famine like conditions. The last two years has completely stripped the happiness from our lives. Support us as we fight for the fate of our loved ones.
