Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page! I’m really excited that I have been selected to volunteer overseas in Rwanda with International Service, a human rights based organisation, on an International Citizen Service placement. In Rwanda I'll be working on community outreach projects based on human rights, such as gender equality and the right to education, with children and marginalised women.

The first part of my placement is a challenge to raise £800 towards the work of International Service and their ICS partners. ICS works with communities that have specifically requested their help and places importance on sustainable development so there is a long-term commitment to projects. The money raised will go towards enabling the overall costs of ICS, ensuring projects continue after myself and the upcoming cohort leave as well as supporting in-country volunteers from the developing world to make a lasting difference in disadvantaged communities. 

As part of my fundraising, I’ll be going for a Boxing Day dip in the sea at Brighton Beach! I would be extremely grateful for any donations, big or small and as an extra incentive, the person who donates the most gets to pick what fancy dress I will wear while doing so, please make the pain worth it!
