Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page in memory of my Auntie, Terry Kirby, who my family lost to ovarian cancer in June!
In November 2015, my auntie was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. Before She became ill, I knew nothing about this evil disease. For Terry and all of the 7 – 8,000 thousand women
in the UK who will be diagnosed this year, I have committed to take part in the London Marathon 2019 in April. This is my first marathon and I’m super excited!
Target Ovarian Cancer is the UK's leading ovarian cancer charity. They work with women, family members and health professionals to ensure they target the areas that matter most for those living with ovarian cancer.
In the UK, 11 women die every day from ovarian cancer
and of those that survive initial diagnoses and treatment, only 35% will live a further 10 years or more. Please help us beat this awful disease.
Ovarian cancer faces chronic underfunding compared with other cancers. Enough is enough. It's time to TAKE OVAR. Together we can make sure women in the UK have the best chances of survival. Join us to raise awareness, fund research and save lives.
Donating through Justgiving is simple and the money raised will help to fund our unique face-to-face support programme, a nurse-led support line, improvements in early diagnosis and
a national research programme. We want to reach all women with ovarian cancer and it is only with the generosity of our donors and hard work of our fundraisers that we can work to achieve this and continue our vital work.
Cancer effects all types of people in all different ways, by donating we can make sure women in the UK have the best chances of surviving ovarian cancer.
