Dementia is a condition which is close to mine and many other peoples hearts. Having watched my grandad lose his battle with dementia 3 years ago, I was heartbroken but also terrified. The impact of dementia on him, the other residents in his care home and their families was truly devastating. And that is why The Alzheimer’s society is my chosen charity.
