Christmas for many is 'The most wonderful time of year'. For some people it's also a time when feelings of loneliness, depression and anxiety can be overwhelming.

2020 Christmas was a strange one, which was spent differently for many and Lockdown has not been easy. Samaritans received millions of calls for help this year – many extra who were dealing with coronavirus on top of the usual stresses of life.

Due to stresses around the festive season, Isolation and Mental Health, Christmas becomes a particularly busy period for Samaritans.
Samaritans expect more than 250,000 calls for help  and they will require additional advisers available to answer calls, texts and emails during the festive period.

We were alone for Christmas 2020 so then decided to shine some hope on the following year and write a Christmas song. For us - completing this song kept us strong during lockdown and gave us focus and hope for the future. For others who may still be searching for hope, Samaritans can provide a lifeline. 

We released this Christmas song to be able to donate all proceeds to a charity that does so much to help people find a glimmer of light even on their darkest of days.
