Story
My parents were told that I had one percent of survival because I had a diaphragmatic hernia , meaning I had a hole in my diaphragm when I was in my mothers womb and all my organs were pushed up into my chest, crushing my lungs. They were told that there was minimal chance of my survival. Here I am now, at 17 years old strong and healthy with a scar across my stomach, which for years I have been self conscious about but now I'm most proud of. I am hoping to raise money for all these babies treated at Kings College. I cant imagine how my parents felt in the moment, and even though I won't be able to change how others feel, I want to make a small a difference. So I guess this is me saying, thank you mummy and daddy and my doctors and I will never be able to repay you what you have been able to give me, but here is a start! Im conquering my biggest fear of running so lets see how this goes!! Im running 50k in a month, hopefully.
