Turkey & Syria were recently struck by a series of devastating earthquakes that have left over 40,000 dead, with this number continuing to rise. Many more have been injured and are homeless and I firmly believe that we have a responsibility to do our part to help those in need - regardless of race, religion, skin colour or creed.
I have decided to take on this arduous and physically challenging challenge in an effort to raise funds to help provide vital aid to those who have been affected by the earthquakes. The climb will be taking place on March 31st, during Ramadan, so I will be fasting throughout the entire hike. That means no food, and no water whilst climbing the tallest mountain in wales and the 2nd tallest mountain in the UK. What’s more, I will be carrying a backpack weighing in at 25kg/55lbs throughout the duration of the climb
Rasulallah ﷺ said that the Ummah is like one Body, such that when one part of it is hurt; the rest of the body feels it. We’re also told that none of us will have faith until we wish for our brother what we wish for ourselves. And so I ask humbly for your support as I embark on this challenge in the name of Allah in order to help those who are desperately in need
