Fundraising for Multiple Sclerosis Society
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. Here's where I'm trying to raise £1 for each of the 100,000 miles I'm going to travel.
On the 17 of February 1992 I met Tarn a beautiful young student of art and literature at the University of Edinburgh. We were meant to be together, and so we were. She become my wife ten years later and we had a life together that can only be described as “the stuff dreams are made of”. In 2006 Tarn was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis and, tragically, on the 23 of Aril 2013, our time together came to an end. She was the most wonderful thing that ever happened to me and, probably, that ever will. My life is never going to be as complete as it was when she was in it.
In her memory I will try to raise contributions from all those that follow my cycling, walking and riding endeavour, for the MS Society, which in many ways, but in particular with its online forum, provided Tarn a great deal of support over her last few years of her life. Many times she told me how just sharing in others experiences gave her the prospective and the strength to carry on. How she found the camaraderie and, sometimes, the levity in some posts sufficed to smooth the harder hedges of dealing with her condition.
