I witnessed the gradual decline of both my mother and my father in law into a situation that was helpless and totally tragic. They became shadows of their former selves, trapped in bodies with minds that no longer functioned as they should. 

Therefore, I will undertake the Trek 26 and hopefully raise a useful sum of money that will provide for further research into this cruel disease.
