Story
on December 5th 1987 my Little Sister passed away after a life long Battle with Cystic fibrosis(CF) she was only 12 years old when she passed away, She was full of life and was constantly in and out of hospital having numerous tablets per day and having to endure physio therapy to try and clear her lungs of mucus.
she achieved so much in those 12 years like going to main stream school and meeting HRH Princess Diana. She also received a child of Achievement Award in 1987. she enjoyed Horse riding with the Disabled, Due to our Dad being in the forces we lived in Germany, Northern Ireland and various counties in England.
Cystic fibrosis (CF) is a life-limiting genetic condition affecting more than 10,000 people across the UK. It affects the lungs and digestive system and can cause chronic infections and reduced lung function. Currently, half of those with CF will not live past age 41.The Cystic Fibrosis Trust is fighting for a brighter future for people with CF and their families by funding cutting-edge research, driving up standards of care and supporting people with the condition and their loved ones every step of the way.
