As-Salamu Alaykum,

These next few months I am raising money to provide Emergency Winter Kits  to families in Syria that have been left in deplorable conditions to due the ongoing conflict. In 2020, over 6.1 million Syrians remain internally displaced and they have no choice but to live in makeshift shelters or abandoned, damaged buildings. Inshallah this money will provide them with some means of shelter, bedding, fuel and hygiene.  

An Emergency Winter Kit will be provided to a vulnerable Syrian family, containing warm blankets, sleeping mats and rugs, shelter reinforcement, fuel for heating, and soap, helping them to survive winter for £140. I hope to raise enough money to help a few families.  

Human Appeal's team in Syria and Turkey are supporting up to 600 Syrian families on the ground. This project is aimed at helping provide aid to the most vulnerable group including pregnant and lactating women; those with chronic diseases; single families; and the disabled, wounded and elderly. 

What's more, the Winter Kits will be sourced from local markets in Idlib and Aleppo governorates, helping the local economy.
