Story
The World Grows Wild Campaign is calling on the Great British and Northern Irish public to raise charitable funds by letting their hair, or parts of it, grow wild in isolation or even on the frontline! All funds raised will go to those either directly or indirectly affected by coronavirus (COVID-19).
The campaign is targeting women, men, old and young and everyone in between - to let your hair grow wild, wherever it may sprout!
COVID-19 is spreading at a terrifying rate. Every day thousands are getting infected and dying.Schools are shut, shelves are empty, businesses are suffering, the vulnerable are isolated and the planet is in lockdown. Needless to say, we all want to help...
Mindful of the fact that this is an anxious time for everyone, we want our fundraising mission to bring a smile with it!
The World Grows Wild Campaign is proudly supporting:
The National Emergencies Trust (NET) – Coronavirus Appeal, launched by the Duke of Cambridge on 18th March 2020 to raise and distribute funds fairly and efficiently alongside trusted community foundations and local charities ensuring vital financial support gets to the individuals and organisations that need it most.
We are calling on YOU to ditch your razors and channel your inner caveperson to become ‘Sprouters’ for charity and therefore:
- Reinforcing the crucial #StayHomeSaveLives directive
- Supporting our incredible NHS and public service workers
- Supporting the NET - Coronavirus Appeal
- Putting your dishevelled looks to good use
As a Sprouter you can either pledge a donation to participate or create your own fundraising page. There is also an opportunity to simply donate to support the campaign.
You can choose which part of your body hair will grow wild… perhaps even all of it!
