MOVEmber Challenge - · 14 November 2020

We offer respite & palliative care to children, young people & their families

Story

In the latest lockdown, we have launched this initiative to keep health and well-being a focus as the dark nights drawn in and it is all to easy to move less!

The challenge is set to last 22 days, ending on Saturday 5th December. In the first 4 days, our teams have smashed their steps pledges to achieve a combined 2.5 million steps. We are hopefully on track to reach beyond Miami to the Caribbean, one of our customers most well-loved cruise destinations!

We are proud to be walking in aid of Derian House Hospice, a charity that we have supported over many years. Derian House provides respite and end-of-life care to more than 400 children and young people across the North West, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. During the current pandemic, raising funds for this worthwhile cause is more than important than ever.

Alison Earnshaw, WTH (UK) Managing Director, has joined the initiative as team leader for one of the five teams,“ We have team spirit in abundance at WTH (UK) and this is just one way we are able to come together for a great cause, whilst helping our health and mental well-being at the same time. The spirit of the challenge is to welcome all and encourage everyone to achieve by committing to their own personal pledge, whether that’s 10,000 or 30,000 steps a day.”

We’ll be tracking our team steps and sharing regular updates here, charting our progress across the Atlantic Ocean
