Story
Last year: 350 miles in 5 days. Great blast, raised £2500 or thereabouts for a bloody worthwhile charity. I reckon that we did another £1000 for the H4H Rugby match at Twickers in September, but I can't be sure as I had an OD on Guinness. So what was needed this year was a challenge that would be a CHALLENGE that would encourage you to part with BIG money.
What better way than to cycle from Land's End to John O'Groats, the social cyclist's Holy Grail? 1000 miles in 12 days.......
Most of you by now will have at least heard of H4H and the help that it gives to service men and women who are wounded, sometimes horribly, in the line of duty. I met some of these guys last year, with their replacement limbs, riding along with the rest of us and complaining a whole lot less when they had every reason to complain the most....it does make you thankful that you're in one piece.
The support they get from Headley Court and other places, some supported by H4H, is incredible. But they always could do with extra funds, so I know that what I can raise will make a difference, however slight. Please give generously, it will help to ease my inevitable pain!!!!
