Story

Please give generously toward brain tumour research, an often overlooked and under funded cancer charity. Our dad courageously fought this cruel disease for two years and sadly his life has now come to an end. Instead of our family being sent flowers, it was in my dads wishes that people donate the money towards a charity instead. We have chosen to support three charities, two of which have been of great support to our family through this tough and traumatic time. You can either donate directly via this webpage towards Brain Tumour Research Campaign or go to the following links to donate to Macmillan Cancer Support or Meadow House Hospice, where my dad spent his last few days.

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Way Ahead-BTRC gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

I would just like to say thankyou to everyone for their kind and generous donations they have made towards this charity! I'm sure my dad would have been gobsmacked to know people have raised £2000 towards BTRC in memory of him. We have been assured the money will be put to good use. I would also like to thank my Uncle Geoff and Uncle Giles for their kind donations they have made privately towards MacMillan Cancer Support. Everyones generosity has really touched our family and is greatly appreciated.

Thankyou for your support,

Love Chloe, Peter and Kim Wood

About the charity

BTRC works with a Neurosciences team at Charing Cross and Hammersmith Hospitals (Imperial College London) to promote research into the causes of brain tumours and possible new treatments, to raise public awareness of the desperate need for this research and the current lack of funding.
