Story

On Saturday 25th June, Wolfe Tones GAC will be holding a sponsored walk for all members in support of the Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust.

KBRT aims to alleviate the hardship of bereaved families in repatriating the remains of loved ones who have died overseas in tragic or sudden circumstances.

Starting from Belfast Castle and going to McArt’s Fort atop Cavehill, the walk will aim to raise vital funds for the Newry based charity who, in less than 10 years in existence, have repatriated the remains of over 1,000 people to Ireland.

There is hardly a community on the island of Ireland that has not been assisted in some way by KBRT and a number of families in North Belfast and Newtownabbey have had to avail of the Trust’s services. Our aim is to raise funds so that KBRT can continue with their difficult but incredibly important work.
