8 intrepid clinicians from the West Midlands CARE team, as part of the 30 for 30 charity fundraising effort, will take on the daring event. The aim to cycle around the 5 mile circuit of Draycote Water from sunset to sunrise, aiming to complete a cumulative total of 600 miles. With a mix of cycling experience, novices to regulars, the eight will push themselves to be riding a distance beyond the furthest they’ve ever ridden before.
The West Midlands Central Accident, Resuscitation & Emergency (CARE) Team is a charitable organisation who provide enhanced pre-hospital critical care to seriously ill and injured patients across the West Midlands.Working in teams alongside the West Midlands Ambulance Service, volunteer doctors, nurses, paramedics and other healthcare professionals bring the hospital emergency department to the patients side. Early advanced intervention saves lives. The team takes pride in delivering excellent clinical care as well as high quality pre hospital emergency medicine education. The West Midlands CARE Team rely entirely on donations from the General Public to fund their vital work.The 2nd November 2020 marked the start of the West Midlands CARE Team's 30th Anniversary Year.
