We enable physically disabled people to to enjoy inclusion through technology

Story

Thanks for visiting our JustGiving page! We're taking part in the
'Twin Town Challenge' in aid of SpecialEffect.

SpecialEffect put fun and inclusion back into the lives of people with physical disabilities by helping them to play video games. By using technology ranging from modified joypads to eye-control, SpecialEffect are finding ways for people to play to the very best of their abilities. But they’re not just doing it for fun. By levelling the playing field, SpecialEffect are bringing families and friends together and having a profoundly positive impact on quality of life.

The one-to-one support that SpecialEffect provide is completely free. It ranges from the creation and loan of modified video game controllers, to the provision of eye-controlled computers for people with very severe disabilities. All of SpecialEffect's funding comes from donations and fundraising.

To date, the ‘Twin Town Challenge’ has raised over £830,000 to support this fantastic cause and we hope that Twin Town 2022 will be the biggest yet!
