Story
I am co-chairing the NE sleepout this year, nearly 200 IT professionals in Newcastle will be joining over 1000 others across 10 cities in the UK's largest organised sleep out.
This is my personal page, where I am hoping to do my bit by raising £1,000 for Action for Children.
This amazing charity is one of the unkown gem's in the UK, doing so much to try and protect and prevent the 80,000+ homeless children and young adults from coming to harm. Many of their schemes are completely self funded, as the charity picks up where local authority funding ends or runs out. Whether it's ante natel classes for vulnerable parents, or support to foster carers or right through to support for getting children off the streets, Action for Children really works.
The charity does rely on a huge amount of charitable support so I am helping the UK IT professions national charity again this year. Coming from a small family myself I know that life is such a delicate balance and having met many young people who this charity has helped over the years I want to make sure that this priceless service would be there for my children if similar wicked fate fell upon them.
