We were shocked and saddened to hear the recent news surrounding the possible closure of Chester Zoo. For many years the children at Winnington Park have enjoyed trips to the zoo with the most recent one being in December 2019 when the whole school were invited by the zoo for a day of fun, free of charge!

We are relieved to hear that Zoos across the country are now opening, however Chester Zoo still needs our help.

 Chester Zoo does so much to prevent extinction. From conservation at the zoo with 35,000 animals, to helping wildlife organisations across the world to manage the impact of this global crisis, Chester Zoo is determined not to let Coronavirus stand in the way of its vital mission. At such a time of crisis and uncertainty for everyone, we have chosen to raise funds for Chester Zoo so they can use it where they need it most and continue to make their mission of preventing extinction a reality and ensure the survival of species for the future.
