Wine to Water Lent Campaign 2011- Give up to Give Away

It's a very simple idea. Give up something you love and give away the money you save, making a difference at no extra cost to you. 

 

Your money will fund water projects in Gokwe Town, Zimbabwe, providing the local community with safe, clean water.

 

Important: On the page after you make your donation, tick the box to stay in touch so that we can keep you updated on the progress of the water projects and you can see the impact your money will have. We are planning to report back to you from Gokwe Town, so it is vital you tick the box, otherwise we won't be able to send you photos/video.  

 

We are aiming to build 3 wells and 6 water storage tanks in Gokwe Town, Zimbabwe, where they currently have no water supply at all.  

 

In 2008/9, cholera struck Zimbabwe, seriously affecting urban areas due to the poor water and hygiene conditions. Providing safe, clean water in this area is a crucial step to preventing deadly cholera outbreaks in the future.

 

We know that lots of you are being very creative with the things you are giving up, so please write them down on our page when you give. It will add creativity and inspiration to the campaign!
