Story
Haslemere Hares is a community arts project in Surrey, run by father and daughter team, Brian Howard and Melissa King. The project has already raised more than £85,000 for a variety of good causes. They are both lifelong Scottish Rugby supporters and as soon as they heard that Doddie had been diagnosed with MND decided to donate one of their 5ft hares to raise money for his foundation.
They commissioned artist Alison Saunders (www.alisongsaunders.art) to paint it for them in the Weir Tartan and with it now sporting a scarf in the new Doddie Tartan and autographed by the Big Man it is being raffled with a "modest" target to raise £5000 - We need your help !!!
The draw will take place towards the end of March, after the 6 Nations at a time and place yet to be arranged - we'll keep you posted.
