Story
Saturday 19th June 2021
I will be walking and running approx 80 miles over the course of 2 days to try and raise as much money as possible for The Brick. I have supported The Brick in the past with a multi day charity walk with my brother and Dad. This time round it will be a solo excursion and I will be making my way from Windermere back to my house in Wigan.
It would mean so much to me if you could help towards my target and in turn help The Brick with their mission to eradicate homelessness and poverty in our community.
As well as money I will be collecting tinned/dry food and sanitation goods so I can pass these on to The Brick too.
Covering 40 miles a day is going to be a massive ask and I'm training hard to make sure I can do this in the time I have set myself, it would make me so happy if you are able to support me towards my goal and donate as much as you can. I know times are hard at the moment but for a lot of us we can still afford a few daily luxuries such as coffees, a sandwich or a takeaway on the weekend. There are a lot of people out there that rely on The Brick and unfortunately cannot afford such luxuries. The Brick are there to help the homeless and people struggling with poverty and your help will go a lot further than you think.
I thank you so much in advance for your support, every penny is appreciated.
From The Brick:
Our aim is to eradicate homelessness and poverty in our community. We support homeless people, those facing homelessness, and people experiencing crisis or poverty in the Wigan borough.People who are marginalised by society, who can, with support, become independent and contribute positively to their communities. Services include crisis intervention, housing and health support on behalf of the Council, a foodbank, social and employment training, and wide-ranging volunteering opportunities. We ensure no one in our community gets left behind.
