Story
Thank you very much for supporting the campaign. We have now managed to purchase two front-line ambulances which are to be sent off to Ukraine on 25/06/2022.
The ongoing conflict in Ukraine has absolutely devastated the country and claimed tens of thousands of lives. It is estimated that up to 100 Ukrainian warriors die every day, defending their country on the front line. Not only that, but the civilian death toll is also in the thousands due to reckless bombing.
This fundraiser aims to buy a front-line ambulance, or two smaller non-front line ones for Ukraine. With your help, we could save a life, or prevent someone from needing an amputation.
On Wykeham day (18th of June), between 7am and 3pm, in a joint house effort, we will cycle the distance from Winchester to Ukraine (1250 miles), with a stretch goal of reaching Kyiv (1600 miles). One after the other, representatives from all 11 houses and 2 staff member teams will give their most for 20 minutes each for a total of 104 cycling hours on stationary bikes to help us reach this ambitious goal.
Any excess money will be sent towards purchasing another ambulance through EmbraceMe Foundation.
