We provide emotional support 24 hours a day to people feeling distressed or in despair

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - we raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

The dragon boat race is a physically demanding but great fun day.  The day is intended to raise funds but just as importantly to raise the profile of the service, so that more people can make use of this valuable service.  The Winchester branch is self funded and run entirely by volunteers and any donations are gratefully received, no matter how large or small.

The event takes place on 3 July on the Winchester Navigation Canal, Garnier Road, Winchester.  Come along for:

We don't know when you might need us.

That's why we're open 24 hours a day.

Samaritans provides confidential non-judgemental emotional support, 24 hours a day for people who are experiencing feelings of distress or despair, including those which could lead to suicide.

Whatever you're going through, whether it's big or small, don't bottle it up. We are here for you if you're worried about something, feel upset or confused, or just want to talk to someone.

We offer our service by telephoneemailletter and face to face in most of our branches.
