Story
My husband of 30 years, Alan, passed away very suddenly on the 14th of November 2011. This was due to an un-diagnosed brain tumour. Alan had been suffering from health issues for quite some time, but the cause was never identified. We found out about the brain tumour as he had a scan done once he had lapsed into a comma, 6 hours after going into hospital. 6 hours after this he had gone. Alan was not just my husband, but my best friend and a fantastic Dad to our two sons, Gavin & Craig. He loved going to support St.Johnstone FC and spending time with 'his boys'. We are now going to have to try and carry on without him, but also keeping his memory alive. This is why the family feel it so important to help raise much needed funds for further research into brain tumours as well as the most important issue of raising awareness. We hope by the little we can do, it may save others from going through the pain, suffering and trauma of losing a loved one and/or watching them suffer while fighting for their lives.
