Story
I have created The 60 day Willow challenge to raise crucial funds for this amazing charity. The challenge is simple, you have to do some kind of activity every day for 60 days. This could be walking, running, gym, yoga, or a mixture of all of the above. I want others to take on the challenge and ask their family and friends to donate to this page, so we can all join together in a difficult year and help to make a difference to seriously ill young adults and their families.
At Willow they believe in quality of life and quality of time. Willow is the only national charity working with seriously ill young adults aged 16 to 40 to fulfil uplifting and unforgettable Special Days. Sadly for some, it’s a last chance to fulfil a dream with the people that really matter. Thankfully for many more their Special Day is an important opportunity to put much-needed normality back into living.
For those who don’t know me, November 30th marked a year to the day since I lost my darling brother. Jack was just 20 years old but he fought against all odds his whole life, nevertheless his death was a sudden shock to us all and our whole lives shattered before our eyes. He was our life and soul, everything that we did was to make his life happy and comfortable and we feel blessed for every single moment that we had with him. His smile lit up the room and although he could not walk or talk, his strength and happiness inspired everyone who met him.
I promised to carry Jack’s strength and energy with me through the rest of my life, so since Jack’s passing I have raised over £7000 for Willow, but we need to do more. Charities have struggled this year due to the effects of a Covid-19, and families who have seriously ill young adults need the support more than ever.
Please share this page far and wide and if you want to do something positive at the end of this tough year, please join the challenge and ask your friends to donate to this page.
Love,
Becs
