Three years ago I was diagnosed with Prostate Cancer, and after much consideration and discussions with Diane, the decision was made to have it removed. Fast forward 3 years, which included a house move back to the North East, during a routine appointment, I discovered to my horror, that Cancer had returned. Another fast forward to now, and I’ve just completed 33 days of radiotherapy and a course of hormone therapy, and I’m delighted to say, my latest blood test has returned negative. 

During this journey, Friends of ANCHOR were with me all the way, providing whatever support was necessary,, even down to their provision of a lovely red and white water bottle for all those 33 visits to hospital. 

I along with 23 other gentleman, with much in common, were selected to participate in the annual BRAVE fundraising event at the Beach Ballroom on 4/5 of May. It’s a  show where we all get to ‘strut our stuff’ on the catwalk, models for a day, and we’ve just started our weekly rehearsals.
