Story
Many of you may have known our Dad William had been struggling with reoccurring bladder cancer in the past few years and before Christmas 2020 this triggered a rare autoimmune disease called Paraneoplastic Dermatomyositis. Over a few months his condition worsened and Dad passed away quite suddenly in April 2021. As his daughters we wanted to raise some money in memory of him by completing a year of challenges and various sporting events. We are so thankful for the care and support St Barnabas Hospice gave our Dad.
St Barnabas Hospice is a local independent charity who supports more than 10,500 people across Lincolnshire with a life-limiting or terminal illness each year. They deliver free, high-quality, compassionate end-of-life care and support to patients, their families and carers. They aim to enable them to live as fully as they are able for however many days, weeks or months they have left. They are reliant on the financial support the community provides, to be there for more patients, their families and carers, every day of the year.
