Story
In December 2020 we were told that my dad had a brain tumour. After going for a routine MRI scan because he had weakness to his left side, he had to stay in hospital for a few days. My dad had to have his 1st operation, a biopsy on the brain tumour, dad once again stayed in hospital for a few days. Dad has always been fit, well and healthy and had no underlying conditions, until now, it's come from nowhere.
Then Christmas Eve our world was turned upside down, we had the news that it was cancer. Dad was then referred to St Luke's hospital where he was told on New Year Eve it's a rare tumour. Dad is now going to have to receive chemotherapy where he will stay in hospital for 5/7 days at a time.
A teacher at my school taught me in the first lockdown do something positive. So, I want to raise money for Brain Tumour Research, so more families don't have to go through what we do.
Stay strong dad you can fight this.
Update: 22/9/22: We are lucky that my dad has been in remission now for 11 months, his immune system is still weak, so we have to be very careful.
I want to keep fundraising to help find a cure.
