More than 3,000 civilians have been killed, and up to 9,000 injured since the conflict began in February 2014. 1.5 million people have become internal migrants. Over 3.5 million people will require humanitarian assistance and protection in 2019. More than 228,000 Ukrainian children became orphaned.
