On 16th May 2010, I'll be joining thousands of others to ride eighty one miles (!) around the UK's only closed-road cycle event, the Etape Caledonia.  I'm very proud to be riding as part of Team Macmillan, raising much-needed cash to help Macmillan Cancer Support continue their fantastic work supporting those affected by cancer.

Months of dedicated training are needed to get in shape just to get round the Etape course - many who start don't complete it.  Due to a minor brush with meningitis, I haven't been able to train effectively, but I am giving it absolutely everything I've got, evenings and weekends, rain, hail or shine (haven't seen any 'shine' yet!).

So, I'm busting my ass for Macmillan, and what keeps me out there is the hope you will sponsor me by donating to Macmillan Cancer Support through my JustGiving page.
