Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
To set a few facts straight, i am funding the trip myself so all donations given / pledged are going to the charity, The trip is my personal challenge, Mad i am, but a superb way of supporting a very worthwhile cause! So here goes
Some of you will know that my mum has been diagnosed with Alzheimers, which is poorly catered for in many parts of the UK, so much more support is needed. more can be done to help and find out what can be done to cure this major problem. so!
As many know i am mad on motorcycles, and have a Royal Enfield in the garage, along with others. i have always fancied a trip to India, to ride the Enfield where they are now made, this is in place now for October 2010. I will be taking part in the Global Adventure Challenges India Motorcycle Challenge. the Itinerary...is as follows click and read on
Day 1 – Depart UK.
Day 2 – Arriva Delhi, We then catch the, ‘superfast’ Shatabdi Express to Amritsar. In the afternoon, we spend sometime becoming acquainted with your Enfield Bullet.
Day 3 – Amritsar to Dharamsala – 200km: Today we visit Amritsar’s ‘Golden Temple’ before hitting the road to Dharamsala, home of the Dalai Lama.
Day 4 – Dharamsala to Bir – 80km: We push on with our motorcycle challenge and ride to Bir.
Day 5 – Bir to Manali – 250km: A great, but very challenging and tough ride through the hills takes us to Manali.
Day 6 – Manali to Simla – 175km: The area around Simla offers some of the best riding in India.
Day 7 – Simla to Shivpuri – 280km: A very long and challenging ride to Shivpuri.
Day 8 – Shivpuri to Delhi – 250km: We ride into Delhi glowing with the success of completing our Challenge.
Day 9 – Depart India and arrive back into UK.
