Story
On 3rd March 2022 an important member of our CDB team Bill received news that no family should ever have to receive, he tragically lost his son Jack in an accident. Jack was 18 years old and was the most kind and caring person. He left an impression on everyone he met, he was adored by everyone.
We already completed a half marathon in July 2022 and to keep Jack's memory alive and to help others in similar situations we are doing 3 bike rides in 2023.
We are doing RideLondon on 28th May 2023 which is 100 miles from London to Essex and back. This is being done by Bill Chambers and Connie Arnold in memory of Jack and Lillie who passed away in similar accidents on Christmas Eve 2022.
The second bike ride will be London to Brighton 54 miles. This will be done by Bill Chambers, Danny Chambers, Tony Saunders, Connie Arnold and David Thorne on 18th June 2023.
The third event of 2023 will be the London to Brighton off- road 61 miles through the Surrey and West Sussex country side. This will be done by Bill Chambers, Danny Chambers, Tony Saunders, David Thorne, Steve Collins and John Daniels.
In 2024 when Jack would have been 21 years old, we will be doing Lands End to John O'Groats 1189 mile bike ride over 10 days.
Winstons wish is a charity who offer support to children who have lost someone close to them and are dealing with bereavement. Help us keep Jacks memory alive.
