In just 8 years time over a million people will have dementia.  Currently 60,000 deaths each year are directly attributable to dementia.  

There will be people my age, who I hang around with, who in years to come won't remember anything of the past and will become unable to look after themselves.  Imagine forgetting the whole 2005 - 2013 glory years of Leicester City............mmmmm

 

These people need care which is why I'm proud to be also raising money for Eastholme Care Home Lincoln who do an amazing job caring for people with dementia.

The way I see it is if you loose a leg you have to use crutches for the rest of your life but if you loose your mind youve lost control of everything you do, and if it happens at 60 you could have 30 years of it.  Body, thoughts, toilet skills, communication

We're all getting older and the countries going bust - we need to start taking action
