John Simmons and I are doing a Sponsored Walk for "Help Our Wounded" part of the Royal Marines Charitable Trust. This is on Sunday 15th May. We are walking from the Pier Head to Southport, approximately 20 miles. The charity supports wounded soldiers and their families, not just now, but for the long term. A lot of veterans are finding it difficult to cope in civvy life, in some instances this is due to Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. The family spirit of the Royal Marines is second to none. John and I are ex Bootnecks and are trying to do our bit to help.
