Story
Every day you probably have a dozen crazy ideas that you think are great, but deep down you know you'll never get round to doing it ... Well it seems one of those crazy idea's is actually happening!!!
Myself, Nathan and Andy had this mad idea to do a 19-hour (and possibly longer!) gaming marathon all in the name of charity. This is probably the only way I'll complete a marathon, so might as well make it a good one!
The charity we'll be raising money for is CALM, (The Campaign Against Living Miserably), which is leading a movement against suicide, the single biggest killer of men under the age of 45 in the UK. Anyone can hit crisis point. CALM run a free and confidential helpline and webchat 7 hours a day, 7 days a week for anyone who needs to talk about life's problems.
Even though the lock-down is becoming more relaxed, CALM have found themselves increasingly more busy since the lock-down started, stretching resources and volunteers.
And so as such we need your help! Our initial team target is £250 which will be upped if we get to that total, so get donating! If we manage to beat that target before or during the live-stream, we may bump up to a 24hrs stream. If you need more of an incentive, imagine 3 dreary eyed, sleep deprived men trying their best to stay awake at 7am the next day after no sleep and on a massive caffeine slump.
Also as an extra incentive, if my personal total raised hits £500, then I will be shaving my head!!!
I will be streaming on Twitch from 8am on Friday 12th June to 3am on Saturday 13th June (8am if £300 target is reached).
