Story
Having lived in the Newcastle for the past 4 years I felt it was about time I entered the Great North Run. This sudden surge of motivation seemed like a great idea back in January, but as the months passed by and the layer of dust on my running shoes increased I was starting to second-guess what now seemed like a moment of madness. Nevertheless, the training eventually started and by some miracle I'm on track for the 8th September and actually looking forward to the race - that last bit could be the runners high talking.
I was lucky enough to secure a place running for the Durham Cricket Foundation. This great charity uses cricket as a tool for social change and helps inspire people to live happy and healthy lifestyles. They run countless projects across the North East that are available for all the community, from school children to helping boost community cohesion amongst older residents.
