I am entering the Berlin Marathon, running for HELP FOR HEROES on the 20 September 2009.

Training for this years event is well into the advanced stages, however l am quite sure l will still feel every step of the 26.2 miles of the course. This will be my third marathon, so motivation is high and as a proud serving member of HM Forces, l am also driven by a charity l passionately belive in.

The Berlin Marathon is a huge event, last year it boasted a field of more than 40,827 athletes from 107 nations, with about one million people lining the course.

The start and finish areas are located in the heart of the capital next to Germany's most famous landmark: the Brandenburg Gate.
