Story
Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Some of you will be familiar with my annual Christmas Puzzle. The puzzle for 2021 is here: https://www.tinyurl.com/christmaspuzzle2021
Last year, for the first time, we raised money through the puzzle for a charity - the Trussell Trust - and were able to give them nearly £1000.
This year I would like to try and raise awareness of Sudden Death in Epilepsy and raise money for SUDEP Action. They are the only UK charity specialised in supporting and involving people bereaved by epilepsy,
In June this year my son, Charlie, sadly died during an epileptic seizure having had epilepsy since the age of 14. He was only 32.
In March this year, Charlie wrote on his Instagram page: 'If someone said to you, "Tomorrow you will have a seizure out of nowhere. It could happen at any moment and be potentially life-threatening. You could suffer a traumatic brain injury or go in to Status Epilepticus and potentially die'. How would you spend tomorrow?" Don't make assumptions, but always err on the side of empathy and respect - it is impossible to know what someone is going through.'
There is absolutely no obligation but if you have enjoyed the puzzle and would like to make a small contribution, it would be gratefully received.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails.
