Story
For many children in Nepal the sometimes idylic view of their country is far from reality. Kidasha work with disadvantaged and vulnerable children in Nepal including those who live and work on the streets or have been the victims of physical and sexual abuse.
90% of the children Kidasha work with are born without any medical help
90% do not have safe water to drink
42% live below the poverty line
40% are underweight or have stunted growth
38% do not complete primary education
34% are involved in child labour
By sponsoring me to finish the British 10K and beat my personal best you can help a small organisation have a big impact on children's lives.
A donation of £10 could:
* Provide oral re-hydration solution for 40 children with diarrhoea
* Buy a nutritious meal for 20 street children
£50 could:
* Buy medicine for 50 children attending a primary health centre
* Provide a street child with a safe place to sleep for a month
£100 could:
* Provide primary health care for 10 children for a year
* Pay the salary of a social worker to support 80 children for a month
£300 could:
* Provide emergency shelter and protection for a girl victim of abuse for 2 months
* Pay the salary of a doctor for a month, treating over 700 children
£500 could:
* Buy 2 lifesaving rickshaw ambulances
* Pay the salary of 4 teachers to provide daily education to street children for a month
But anything you can afford to give will be hugely appreciated. Thanks for your support.
