UPDATE 04/0814.
Attempt completed 26 July 2014
How many take offs and landings in 60 minutes climbing to a height of a 1000 feet each time.
On the day we used runway 35 and with a slight cross wind, the attempt started at 7pm and some 60 minutes later I had managed to complete 30 circuits making sure that all 3 wheels where on the ground as I passed through a 20 meter box marked on the runway.
A big thanks to you all that donated, its really appreciated, also a big thanks to Pete Jarvis and all the
members of Bedford Microlight Airsports who turned out that evening and to the
pilots and their passengers who I met when they flew in during the day. The
club ran an excellent sweepstake on how many circuits would be achieved and
this ranged from 10 to 34, monies going to the hospice.
The facts:
That night alone the club raised over £500, and money is still coming in, we hope to have raised in excess of a £1000 for the hospice
Fastest circuit 1 minute 40 seconds
Slowest circuit 2 minute 15 seconds
Fastest climb rate 1100 feet a minute
Fastest descent 2100 a minute
Once again thank you all so much
Kind regards
Will
