Story
We want to provide an exciting and imaginative new play area in the school playground. The play area will have areas to run, climb, balance and swing. There will be room for children to make dens and play imaginatively as well as encouraging more physical activities. The play area will replace the old wooden train and balance beam in the key stage 1 playground. It will be used by all children of the school for different activities through out the school week, including for free play for the KS1 children at break and lunchtime.
The playarea is going to cost us about £20,000 to install. This will be fully funded by the PTA who have been working hard to raise monies and secure funding towards this mammoth cost. A group of mums and teachers from the school will be running the Yorkshire Marathon as two relay teams on Sunday 12th October to raise money towards this cost. The children of the school will be supporting the marathon event in school on Friday 10th October by coming to school in sports kit and taking part in running events throughout the day.
We are relying on your support - a donation to our fund in appreciation of the marathon runners or for the children's running efforts would be hugely appreciated. No matter how small, every penny will help us towards our goal! Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
