Story
June 2007 marks the 25th anniversary of the end of the Falklands Campaign. To commemorate this, 3 Army personnel from RAF Digby will undertake 3 of the hardest foot races in the UK to raise funds for the ex-services mental health charity, Combat Stress.
The charity continues to support those ex-servicemen and women that have been profoundly traumatised by combat in the Falklands Campaign, and every other UK military operation of the 20th and 21st centuries including Northern Ireland, the Balkans, Iraq and Afghanistan.
The challenge consists of 3 Ultramarathon races culminating in June 2007 with the West Highland Way, 95 mile (14760 ft of ascent) foot race from Milngavie (nr Glasgow) to Fort William. We must complete the run in under 35 hours.
We are using justgiving.com because we will be too knackered to collect money along the way and because it makes online donating extremely easy for donors.
Combat Stress makes a continued significant contribution to the mental welfare of ex-service personnel. Please help us make a significant financial contribution to supporting their work.
