Story
On Friday 9 October Whitgift will be helping to spread the word that whatever young people are going through, they not alone with their mental health. Last year we managed to raise over £1000 through various activities in school. For obvious reasons, our plans this year need to be slightly different.
As well as wearing a splash of yellow in support of #HelloYellow, we are also encouraging all members of the Whitgift Community to put down their phones for 24 hours and 'disconnect to reconnect'. We are asking pupils to raise sponsorship money for this. In addition, we will be celebrating kindness in school, by creating eight year group 'Kindness Trees' and taking #HelloYellow photos of some of our youngest pupils.
Looking after wellbeing has never been more important than in the current climate. By getting involved this year and encouraging Whitgift pupils to do so too, you will help raise vital funds for YoungMinds so they can help even more young people and their families at a time when its most needed. Please join us by sponsoring one of our pupils or simply donating to this fantastic cause.
Our grateful thanks in advance for all your support of this day and the wellbeing of our school community as a whole.
