We are powered by people. We’re here to find a cure and improve lives, together.

Story

My dad is my hero.  Since developing Parkinson's he's really shown strength beyond reason.  We need more research and better outcomes for all with this debilitating condition.

I will be wheeling from Porto in Portugal to Santiago de Compostela alone.  I will be staying in Alberges - very basic hostels for pilgrims on this walk.  I am not pre-booking accommodation, rather I am traveling as much as possible like pilgrims have always done,  wheeling each day until I'm tired then sharing basic accommodation with people from around the world.

I don't have a final distance but it will be something over 150 miles.  This is my second long-distance trip as a wheelchair user, first trip abroad and first trip without the back up of other people.

If you can, please support Parkinsons UK to show your encouragement for this trip.

Anyone can get Parkinson’s. It gets worse over time and there’s no cure. Yet. Funding research into the most promising treatments, we’re getting closer to a cure. Until then, we're improving life for people with Parkinson’s, and the people in their lives. Together we'll find a cure.
