We made this in the first days of the lockdown. People were starting to share songs and performances - which we loved - but we wanted to get more people together - people of different backgrounds, anyone who loved music - big stars of the opera world like Joelle Harvey, Siobhan Stagg, Roddy Williams, Caitlin Hulcup, and Rob Murray alongside the inimitable Gwyneth Herbert alongside my neighbours and friends’ kids. So I arranged this fabulous Pete Seeger song and we ended up with 120 colleagues and friends (huge shout out to those of the amazing and inspiring ROH chorus who contributed - thank you!) including NHS staff and teachers. A special thank you to Ruth Gardiner (video edit) and Andy G (sound mastering) who helped get the video over the line at the end.
